Funding

A FOREST FOR ALL

Waitrose Community Fund

Malvern Community Forest received a cheque for £455 from Waitrose as part of their Community Fund scheme in August 2009.

Appeal

Through the kind generosity of a number of people Malvern Community Forest (MCF) has now had donations and income of over £4000 this year. However, although we are recognised as a charitable organisation by Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC, the tax office) the Charity Commission have a policy of only allowing groups who have received income of £5000 in any year to apply to become a registered charity.

The committee of MCF have, as required, adopted a Constitution based on the Charity Commission template. We have everything in place ready to register as a charity, which will give us access to very large grants enabling us to purchase local land. But we still need to find at least £1300 to enable us to meet the Charity Commission criteria.

Thanks for your help and support.
